This privacy policy is applicable to:

  1. The website of Rewire. Note that the website also contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites, we encourage our users to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of any other website that collects personally identifiable information.
  2. Materials collected during the execution of marketing activities, for example photography and videos recorded during corporate events organized by Rewire.

In this privacy policy, when we refer to “personal data”, we mean any information that identifies, relates to, describes or could be reasonably linked, directly or indirectly, to an individual, as defined by the GDPR. This includes not only private or sensitive information but also details such as your name, date of birth, and email address. 1.1       Materials collected during the execution of marketing activities

We respect your privacy and personal boundaries. By attending events organized by Rewire, you acknowledge and agree that photos, videos, and audio recordings of the event, including images of you, may be captured by the event organizers or third parties working on behalf of the organizers.

Please note that photos, videos, and audio recordings may be used for promotional, marketing, advertising, and other purposes related to the activities of Rewire, including, but not limited to, publication on websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, printed materials, and other forms of media without further notification or compensation to you.

Moreover, by participating in Rewire events, you grant Rewire the irrevocable right to use, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, and create derivative works of any photos, videos, or other recordings in which you may appear for the purposes mentioned above.

Images and footage on websites can be viewed throughout the world and not just in the Netherlands and that some overseas countries may not provide the same level of protection to the rights of individuals as the legislation of Netherlands provides. At the start of rewire events, participants will be informed if photos are being taken and reminded of how to opt out.

When you visit the website of Rewire, www.rewirenow.com, some information that can be classified as personal data will be collected.

The information we collect may include (part of) your IP address, the type and language of your browser, the time of your visit, the web address from which you reached our website, the pages you view on it, the links you click on and the other actions you undertake. 3.1       Withdrawing consent or objecting to processing

3.2       Opposing to the processing of your data

You have the right to have your data erased if any of the following applies:

  • You no longer consent to the processing of your data and there is no other legal justification for the processing.
  • You object to the processing of your data and there are no overriding grounds to continue processing.
  • The data has been processed unlawfully.
  • The data has to be erased in order to comply with EU or national law.

3.3       Unsubscribe from marketing communication

4         Data retention

We retain personal data based on legal storage periods and delete or block it once these periods end or the purpose for storing is no longer relevant, following data protection regulations. If you have consented to a longer storage period, we will delete or block your data when that period ends or if you withdraw your consent.  How long certain data is stored depends on the nature of the data and the purposes for which it is processed. The storage period can, therefore, differ per goal.

After the retention period has expired, your personal data will be deleted or anonymized. Anonymization means that your personal data is stripped of all possible identifying characteristics. What remains is statistical data that can no longer be linked to your person in any way.

6         Distribution of personal data to third parties

MIcompany BV is the responsible party for correctly collecting and processing the personal data from this website.

6.1       Distribution of data to our partners

In order to provide its services and protect data used in these services, Rewire uses the support of service providers. Where deemed necessary, your data may be stored with the third parties. Rewire takes precautions of contractual, organizational and technical nature in order to ensure that your data do not leave our framework. Our service providers are not allowed to disclose or use your personal data apart from providing services that comply with the law.

6.2       Distribution of data to other countries

We may share your data with our offices or partners in other countries. This shall only be done to a country outside of the European Economic Area without an adequate level of protection if such transfer is allowed under applicable law and involved parties guarantee the same level of protection as required by the GDPR. By using our website and by providing us with your information, you consent to this trans-border distribution of your data.
